Parents as Teachers promotes thriving families and children by matching families with a parent educator who makes regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through kindergarten.

Being a parent is hard work

Parents are a child's first and most influential teachers. They help shape their child's future through the kinds of experiences they provide.

Parents As Teachers is a home visitation program which provides support to Alamance County families through visits with certified Parents as Teachers educators. There are four different components of the Parents as Teachers program:
  • personal home visits
  • group connections/meetings
  • annual screening
  • resource networking.

Referrals are accepted for any parent with a child from pregnancy to age five. For more info about PAT, please Contact Tracey Brown at  (336) 513-0063 ext 104 or tbrown@alamancechildren.org

  • reuniones grupales tematicas
  • evaluación anual del niño(a)
  • conexiones a recursos comunitarios
